I can not only imagine "just one season", I've lived first 25 years of my life in a city which essentially has only one season: Hot and Humid. Mumbai is the city I'm talking about. All twelve months of year it's only hot and humid. for a few moths it rains but even during monsoon when it is not raining, it is hot and humid. When I got a job in atlanta and moved there what really amazed me was the fact that there were 4 distinct seasons. It was for the first time I experienced 4 different seasons which until then I had only read about or seen in movies. When I left Mumbai for the first time I was very sad to leave the streets and people I grew up with. My mind was made up: I will return and retire only in Mumbai. But after living in Atlanta for a few years I was a person even I did not know I had become. When I returned to India with wife and two kids, I did not think twice before deciding on not living in Mumbai but in Pune - a city I'd never lived in before...
Interesting to note that Vijay. Atlanta sure has distinct seasons and each has its appeal. Never stayed in Mumbai for more than a week or 10 days but I do know that the weather there is not one that a person can be comfortable in even though there are people who prefer Mumbai as compared to any other city.
My recollection of Pune is one of pleasant weather.
